When I was a little girl I would wear bows in my hair all the time. Now I've channeled my inner child and love to wear bows again. I saw some people wearing bows with their hair half up and I also saw a few other varieties of bow placement. I have been sewing for a while and I knew this was an easy task to accomplish. First I browsed around to get ideas of colors and size for my bows. With the abundant supply of fabric in my basement, there was no need to buy any fabric.

With these ideas I just started experimenting with sewing a tube of fabric to make the main part of the bow. I then folded it in half and sewed the two raw edges together. From there I just re-folded it so that the seam was in the center but on the soon to be under side of the bow. I scrunched the bow in the center to see how wide I wanted the center fabric strip to be. Then I just cut the fabric to the width I wanted with room to fold the raw edges under. I found it easier to hot glue the middle strip on the underside to keep it in place. Here are some of the finished products.
