Flower power

The inspiration
Lately I've been seeing lots of flower headbands, which I love....but wasn't sure if I could pull it off. Then I came across this peace sign wreath. I fell in love and knew I had to replicate it. I started my search at my local craft store where I found some great fake flowers on sale.  Although I do love the colors in the inspiration wreath, I decided maybe white would be more practical since I really didn't know where this was going in my room yet. Like many of my crafts, I tend to just wing it when I see something I like. This turned out to be pretty simple.

I started out with a metal hoop that I found at the craft store. It doesn't really matter what it looks like because it will be covered with pretty flowers soon. I decided to wrap the hoop with some rope I had gotten at the fabric store for another project. I realized later that this helped to cover the metal if there were to be a gap between the flowers, but more importantly it helped with the hot glueing process. For the lines in the center to make the peace sign I used some easily bendable wire. Then came time for the flowers, which I just hot glued all the way around the rope covered hoop. That's all! This was one of my simpler projects but I couldn't love it more. Now the only dilemma is where I'm going to hang it on my wall.
